Kiekko-Vantaa - Briefly in English


Kiekko-Vantaa is a ice hockey club from Vantaa, Finland. Kiekko-Vantaa plays 1st division called Mestis. It's a second highest league in Finland after SM-League. Kiekko-Vantaa was founded 1994. Vantaa, with it's population of 200,410 (31st of January 2011), is the fourth most populated city of Finland. The biggest airport in Finland, the Helsinki-Vantaa Airport, is located there. Stanley Cup champion 2010, goaltender Antti Niemi, played junior-level and Mestis-level hockey for Kiekko-Vantaa (1998-2005).
